The social accident insurance providers make these services available using suitable measures to their nearly 6 million insured members. If the event itself is not an occupational accident, victims will still have the protection of the social security system. Nearly all of Austria’s citizens are covered if they are involved in accidents outside work by the social health insurance and pension insurance systems.
