Persons who were employed, insured and/or resident in Austria and at least in one other “Member State” shall in principle submit their pension application in their country of residence, providing a complete insurance, employment and/or residence history.
However, the application can also be submitted to the insurance institution by which the policyholder was last insured.
Persons who were employed, insured and/or resident in a treaty state shall in principle submit their pension application to the relevant insurance institution of their state of residence.
The relevant insurance institution shall immediately initiate the pension eligibility procedure with the other foreign insurance institutions involved.
