Home care

Home care aims to make it possible for people to remain in their own home rather than be transferred to a medical institution. The doctor treating you will decide if you are suitable to receive this service.

Your doctor will prescribe you home care for a maximum period of four weeks in each instance. This period may be extended if you are able to submit an appropriate doctor’s certificate to your health insurance provider.

Home care services are provided exclusively by qualified nurses and caregivers in accordance with the stipulations of your doctor. These relate to medical services only (provision of injections, special diets, wound treatments). Home care services do not include personal patient hygiene services and domestic help, and these services are thus not covered by your health insurance.
