Medical rehabilitation

The aim of rehabilitation following medical treatment is to reestablish the patient’s health so that they can again take part in everyday life and/or recommence work.

Medical rehabilitation measures include

  • Referral to a rehabilitation institute
  • The procurement of prostheses, orthopaedic aids etc.

Patients will be expected to make contributions towards costs if it is necessary to hospitalise them. The extent of these contributions will depend on the income of the patient and their social vulnerability status.

The treating physician will prescribe the rehabilitation measures required.
